Last post

Dear all.

First I have to say that it's been a crazy year,  as usual. But this post is more about reflecting about the year than merely having to describe it.

Write about:
> Good things that have happened
> Situations that haven't worked so well
> Your achievements
> Other things you want to mention

Alright then, let's see... 2018 was supposed to be a good year in my head, at least in economic terms. And I must say it hasn't been what I planned. In the beginning I had three job opportunities and of those 3, U de Chile is the only one that remained viable. The other two jobs didn't start and at this point I've just discarded them. That made me make the decision of having U de Chile as my only employer for what's left of this year.

One really bad thing that happened is that my mighty vaporizer got stolen :( I still have a tiny hope of having a positive answer from the faculty as to what happened with it. I forgot it in a classroom and it should have turned up by now :(.

But not only bad things happen, one must open their eyes and observe that in between "negative" things, good or positive things can be found.

This year I consolidated a complicated relationship with my girlfriend, we designed our house, and right after I finish writing this post, we'll go to start building the foundations of our new home. That's awesome!!

Lastly, I'll mention something that's new for me. For the first time working at U de CHile, my students have asked me to share and celebrate the end of the course with a "convivencia" which I find really cute and sweet.
Now it's your turn, tell me: How's your year going?
Leave comments in my post and three of your classmates (no pictures needed this time).

Have you had a good year, so far?

Post 9

A Subject you've enjoyed studying this semester

We're in the final stage of the semester, and in the final posts. If we count this session, we only have 2 left.

Today's post will be about: "A Subject I've enjoyed studying this semester"
I know you have very different subjects or courses each semester, most students have 5/7 courses, and they can be divided into practical courses (doing and putting theory into practise) and theoretical courses.

Was the subject practical/theoretical?
Did you choose it because of the teacher or the schedule?
What would you change to this course if you could?

What was your favorite aspect of this course?

The questions above are meant to help you start writing :)

Don't forget to mention these:

> Name
> Describe what you do in classes
> Mention the main contents you have seen
> Explain why you like the subject

Word Count: 190

Make comments on 3 of your patners' posts.

Post 8

Animals

What would be of us without them?

This eighth post is the final chosen topic, but we still have two posts pending to end the blogs.

I don't have a clear idea of what you meant when the topic was picked, so I'll  have to write some of my various thoughts about them.

Animals are not food.
Well, maybe for you they still are. But hey! This is my post haha
Many people engage in discussions wether or not humans are naturally set to eat meat, I believe we are not. Many carnivorous animals have bodies and capacities to hunt and eat others that we simply do not have I.e agility, claws, fangs, etc. Having said this, and after six years of being a vegetarian, I must say the food industry, more specifically the meat industry does everything it can to remain on top of the food culture of most individuals, do you ever think about it?

Now I can also dedicate a few words to animals as companions, or pets. Since they do not communicate using words like us, building a relationship with any "domestic" animal requires trust and learning to understand what their needs are and how they express them. I must say I really don't like people that treat animals as furniture.

Now it's your turn, what aspect of animals will you cover in your post? that's up to you ;)

Wordcount 180.
Don't forget at least one picture, and of course comments in mine and three classmates' posts.

Post 7

Hi everone!

We're still going through the chaos that this semester has been and we're now in the seventh post for this 10-blog-activity. This time we'll develop a post whose topic was chosen in class.

Sports.

This topic is, sincerely, not very easy for me to write since I don't do many sports and only enjoy watching some. My favorites to watch are soccer, tennis, basketball and swimming.
When it comes to soccer there's only one real team that I'm interested in, and that's Universidad de Chile. Not even the national team feels as important as U de Chile. I actually worked for a year in the CDA which is were the main team and young players train. It was a great experience.
As for others, I remember when I followed some great campaing that Fernando González and Nicolás Massú had when I was younger, those were some great matches!

A sport I'm great at, is growing cacti. Wait, what? that's not a sport? alright. A sport I'm great at is Chess! what now? that's not a sport either? mmm then I guess I'm not very good at doing sports.
I did play some basketball when I was in primary and I believe I wasn't a total failure.

A piece of historical humor! jeje I hope it doesn't bother CC fans.
